Moms, dads and others...

Brad's dad and sister are in town. It's strange, because we spent a lot of time talking about family. Mostly about the women of the family. What I have been learning lately about how infinately important we women are to our families was undeniably confirmed. I feel a call to make sure that every woman possible has the chance to learn that. I can also see how a lack of faith in or accurate knowledge of The Way (Jesus Christ) allows enormous errosion of the family unit. This happens (even in "christian" marriages) because when you don't know the Truth, you can't even begin to allow the Holy Spirit to guide you away from selfishness and pride. When you don't really know how you should treat your husband, or what your responsibilities as a wife are, you just can't do your job right all the way. It's like hiring someone and then not training them, yet expecting them to do the job right and well. It's just not possible. Yet so many churches bring people in and then fill their time with self-help sermons like 8 steps to a better prayer life and bible studies about getting closer to God, yet no one is dicipling them, teaching them the basics based on the Gospel and the Truth of Jesus Christ!!! I've seen women who have been going to church most of their adult life and teenage kids of church ELDERS asking if they can lose their salvation!! It blows my mind. II am ranting and raving but I guess the point is this: if you deviate from the path of the Gospel, you will lose people along the way. It is a disservice to the lost and confusing to those who believe yet have no one to help guide them on their path.

The first official blog...

I call this my first official blog because I don't think that myspace counts as a real place to blog. Anywhoo, I plan on adding those previous blogs onto here so that I may be complete and not cry like a schoolgirl with a skinned knee... You can read my previous blogs at www.myspace.com/kimberlyloomis Have at it. If you read them, please leave a comment. I'd love it!
